📖 THE STORY
Every time you and your buddies get together for poker night, Johnny Makko walks away with all your cash! Nobody's luck can be that consistent! Suspicions begin to rise and you suspect that Johnny has been hustling everyone. The only way to find proof is to search around his apartment and find the deck of cards that he plays with. Better make it quick before Johnny returns and walks away with all of your money again!

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
Since "Escape The Apartment" takes place inside of an infamous card shark's home, the set design was cleverly created to provide that type of atmosphere. It reminded me of a stash house/ in-and-out type of home with minimal furniture. Before walking into the room, you're standing in front of an apartment door with a number on it. We always love it when the set design starts before entering the game!
The storyline was unique and had a stealthy mission to it - break in and search someone's house for their deck of cards to exploit their hustle.
The puzzles all correlated with the story and were creatively implemented into the items around the room. We literally felt like we were rummaging through his personal belongings inside his home to find the evidence that we needed.
There was a variety of challenges that allowed us each to divide and conquer.
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
One thing that disrupts the game flow is when broken props or puzzles that previously needed to be solved are still visible to the player. This could be taken as a red herring and definitely ruins the experience. We highly recommend to the owners that anything that is not being used but is questionable to the player, to be completely removed from the room or make sure that it's well hidden.
We discovered that a certain prop had to be used twice for two separate puzzles. It's a bit out of the norm since we thought we've used that prop already so that did get as stumped for a bit
Certain items in the room need updating. This is their oldest room.
🏹 TAKE A SHOT?
Since "Escape The Apartment" is Amazing Escape Room's first room at their Freehold location, it definitely has a more traditional experience to it. It's great for beginners who want to get an idea of what to expect from their other rooms. You can certainly use this room as a warm up and before giving their other more updated rooms a try.
