We've been a fan of BrainXcape ever since we played their "Haunted Hotel" and "Prison Break" at their physical location. The "Room 228: Do Not Disturb" was being offered at their new location in NYC. We were very excited to check this room out remotely.

BrainXcape's games are well-known for their set designs. If anyone has ever experienced "Sleep No More" in NYC, they designed "Haunted Hotel". Once again, the set design for this new room did not disappoint. We saw some familiar furniture pieces from the Haunted Hotel, but the puzzles were all different. Although we couldn't hear the full sound effect on zoom, the occasional "squeaking" noises added to the creepy atmosphere. For anyone who normally do not like horror themed rooms, this is your chance to experience the room safely behind your computer scene.

The puzzles were quite easy for enthusiasts but I could imagine some surprising discoveries for new players. It would have be nice if a more challenging level could be offered for more experienced players. An inventory portal was offered for the game. It was fairly easy to operate and only showed items that were necessary. The ending was our favorite part in the entire game (for anyone who have played this game already, we've informed the owner about the "debriefing issue"at the end and suggested a solution. Hopefully the experience will feel more satisfying going forward). Since we don't want to give anything away, you'll just have to survive room 228 and find out for yourself!

*** This game can no longer be booked as a remote game but can still be booked as an in-person experience ***
