Mr. and Mrs. Q's robot MM7 suddenly started to want to understand the question of "What is love?" If you can't help him decode and decipher this complicated question, he might not be able to operate his normal functions. You must help him get back on track so he can defeat Evil Professor and save the world!

You'll receive a PDF once you purchase the game. "Mechanics of the Heart" has about 19 pages but we felt that only 3 pages were really necessary to be printed. For this game, in addition to the a printer, you'll also need a pair of scissors and some sort of light source. The recent games from clueQuest has definitely started to cut down on the pages you'll need to print and there's less cutting as well.
The online platform is the same as their previous games. You'll be using the online portal for the storyline (this one was really cute and was told from a robot's perspective) and for entering the solutions. There's a nudging hint system and answers in case you get stuck. The solutions also came with pictures of the completed puzzle which we found very helpful.

Usually clueQuest print-n-cut puzzles are pretty difficult but this one was surprisingly manageable by two people. We ended up not having to use any hints and was able to complete it within the hour. Perhaps it's also because of the theme of the puzzles as it was more relatable to couples discovering similarities and differences amongst themselves. Since clueQuest proud themselves on their artwork (amazing job once again), they really utilized this in their puzzles this time. You'll find that there's a lot of implementation of "search and find" and "spot the differences". One puzzle that involved an outside tool gave us a nice surprising solution which we didn't anticipate.

One thing we really enjoyed about this game was the build-in personalization function. I didn't tell Brandon about this and was able to surprise him throughout the game. I used his artist name "InvAsian", added our favorite food, places we've travelled in the past and a personalized message. He thought that clueQuest designed a customized game for him! We had a blast laughing about it afterwards. Although we played this game after Valentine's Day, it was still a great way to plan a date night!
