🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
Although this room was pretty small, the creator had some innovative ideas on where to hide clues and secret compartments.
We really enjoyed some of the ways the puzzles were created. The props were utilized in a way where you had to think like a serial killer and implement them accordingly.
There's a good amount of teamwork that was needed in this game. We each had moments to shine. Some did the reading where others were busy finding hidden objects. This room had a good variation in tasks to keep us busy.
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
The decor was a bit eerie but pretty basic. It was lacking that "fear" factor of being in a serial killer's lair. The story also had said that a storm was coming. Perhaps some added in affects of lighting (from a fake window) and sound would make the atmosphere feel more intense.
At one point we did have to read some material with blacklight. It was hard to read since the room light was also on. If that can be controlled by the player, it might make the reading easier.
We had jumped over a puzzle without using the clues which made it confusing for us later on as we thought that clue was used for another puzzle.
🏹 TAKE A SHOT?
Going up the escalator, we didn't know what to expect but the space is huge! You can easily spend a day there playing all the games. If catching serial killer isn't your forte then check out their other themes. "Blackbeard's Treasure" can actually be played as a competitive style as there are two of them! Oh and one more thing, this Escape Hunt kept the original "victory" props and I just adore those "Sherlock Holmes" outfits and gadgets. Make sure put on your best investigator smile!
