📖 THE STORY
We are part of the French resistance that have been running away from the Germans during WWII. They have already raided this bunker once, so we think it’s safe to use it to strategize our next attack. We hope to keep our team safe and move out of here with a plan ASAP!
🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
There were definitely elements of a bunker feel when you first enter the room. The paint colors made the room feel “ashy” and worked well with the atmosphere of the room.
Really enjoyed a cool piece of the ending puzzle that we’ve never seen before. It was a nice add on to the finish.
Many fun variations in the puzzle designs.
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
The lobby needs to finish in terms of renovations. It would be great to touch up the outside of the escape room with some decor to make the bunker feel.
If the ceiling could be covered, it would bring the immersion level up a step. Also, the outside noise aspect would be fixed as well since it could act as soundproofing.
Some weapon noise and war time music could add more suspense to the game.
We did not complete a puzzle yet, but it already triggered something to open. Perhaps it’s best to place the last piece that has the trigger for the mag lock at the end so an early reveal would not happen.
A wording of a puzzle was a bit confusing since a specific word could have another meaning. Maybe it’s best to change that to avoid the red herring element.
🏹 TAKE A SHOT?
Mind Warp is a fairly new escape company. We think the rooms are well priced for what it has to offer. There’s definitely potential for them to get better at the set design and the immersive level in the near future. If you have not tried an escape room before, this could be something you can attempt as your first escape room. There are some puzzle components in there that could be very useful for your future explorations. The puzzles are not too difficult, but it does help to have a larger size group since there should be a designated search team. It was hard for two of us to “see” some things and had to use a clue.
🔎 HINT
It may help to try to go vertically up. Try not to let the edges touch.
