📖 THE STORY

You have been cordially invited to the good doctor's dinner party. You enter the room and notice that none of the other guests have arrived. You begin to wonder if something strange is going on but it's too late, you are now trapped inside his dining room. You realize that your host has orchestrated a couple of deadly games and you must solve them before he returns...

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

• The vibe of this room is incredibly eerie! From the dark green walls to the hickory wood cabinetry, the set design gave us chills before even starting to play! There were so many items in there that resembled Hannibal Lecter's dining room!

• The storyline is an obvious classic and definitely puts players into survival mode. Due to the predicament that you're in, there's a sense of urgency to escape knowing that someone is going to return in an hour (if you're lucky, you might even receive a few jump scare moments).

• There were some really unique puzzles and different types of reveals that we haven't seen before. The fact that the doctor likes to play games, that could've opened the door for any type of puzzles. However, all of the challenges were part of the set design and there was a good mixture of traditional and tech types.

• We're always concerned about an escape room game building up to a grand finale and it fails to deliver. With "Mind Trap", this was not the case. "Mind Trap" literally puts you in the driver seat as a victim inside of a psychological thriller!
  

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

• Overall, "Mind Trap" was a pretty solid game. If we had to nitpick, there was one puzzle that we were unclear which way we're suppose to visualize it. The prop also didn't fit as nicely so it was kind of hard to detect the actual solution.
  

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

"Mind Trap" felt like a combination of the films - "Hannibal" and "Would You Rather"! A perfect blend of thriller and survival obstacles to warm up your appetite. There are no live actors in this game and based on the set design, you'll be thankful that there aren't any. I wouldn't classify "Mind Trap" as a horror game as it has more of a psychological thriller feel to it. There were some really unique puzzles and creative reveals in this game that we were so glad to experience in person.
