📖 THE STORY

Santa has sent your group, Seal Team ELF-A, to infiltrate Ben Franklin's home to acquire his newest toy invention. While he is away at a secret meeting, you have an hour to solve the puzzles, examine the trinkets and figure out the devices to find it before he gets back.

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • This was a beautifully decorated Christmas themed room with a Christmas tree, lights, stocking by the fire and more. Though we played it before the holiday season, we felt immersed in the feel of the Christmas spirit.

  • All the puzzles were themed around Christmas using a lot of fun props, as well as there was a lot of items to work with. This allowed us all to be part of the puzzle solving and let us all stay engaged.

  • There was a nice twist in the middle that kept the game exciting. When asked, the kids say that this was their favorite part.

  • Though the puzzle flow was mostly linear, there were a few times we were able to break up into 2 groups and all have a chance to test our puzzle solving prowess.

  • At the beginning, it seemed overwhelming but once we got into the game, we found it flowed well.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • A very minor thing but simply having a lockout safe can be a pain, but the GM also allowed us to check the combination first before entering it which was helpful.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

"Christmas at Franklin’s" was a family friendly Christmas game. The puzzles were creative and there was a wide variety with some that allowed the kids to lead the solve. The story was light and the room had the perfect Christmas feel to it. We played with 2 adults and 2 kids and found it was a perfect number to allow everyone to see everything though up to 6 would fit comfortably in there. Anyone looking for a little holiday cheer anytime of the year, this is the room for you to check out.
