📖 THE STORY

It's April 15, 1912... you and your friends have been locked up inside Titanic's machine room for stealing from the upper class. And, as if that's not bad enough, the ship just hit an iceberg! Passengers onboard begin to panic as water starts to flood the bottom of the ship. You have about an hour before Titanic completely sinks. Can you escape in time?

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • Borrowing from the scene from Titanic where Jack is handcuffed to a pipe for falsely accused of stealing the “Heart of the Ocean” gem was quite an interesting start of the game. If you've watched the movie, you'll definitely start to connect the dots while you're playing the game.

  • The timer of the room was not a regular time. It was done as announcements of how much time we have left until the ship was going to sink. There were also sounds of dripping water, the dismantling of the ship and accent lighting that really made us feel like the ship is sinking and the urgency of the situation.

  • The set design had a rustic machine room type of look. The very first challenge was to get out of the handcuffs in the dark while the lights were off. This one in particular got us sweating a little bit since we can't do anything until we free ourselves. It was a great way to start the game especially knowing the danger that's coming.

  • The puzzles had a good mixture of utilizing props and set design in the machine room and on the ship in order to survive. Our favorites were the ones we were able to assemble and build to complete a task.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • One thing that we felt like it was missing was a more cinematic ending rather than just a key lock escape.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

We've always loved the movie “Titanic”. To be able to experience it first-hand and feel what Jack and Rose felt at the time of desperation was definitely something to check off our list. The “Titanic” movie was a combination of so many genres - romance, comedy, action, etc. But looking back now, it was always an escape room! Recreating a scene from a popular movie is not an easy task, but we think Escape Room did a great job in this case. The puzzles were not too difficult for enthusiasts but there were a good amount of them. The puzzle flow was nice and we even had to think outside of the box once or twice during the game. If you love the movie, this is a great chance to reminisce and relive the "Titanic" yourself!
