🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
We felt the eerie vibe of the cabin right when we entered. Above the dim-lit fireplace, there were all missing person's posters. We instantly felt shivers down our spines.
The puzzles were creative in that they used various information and props from the theme of the game. There was one prop that we saw used with a directional lock that we haven't seen used in other escape rooms before.
Puzzle solvers would love this room since there's a lot of mystery to be cracked and locks to be opened.
Majority of the time, this game was linear. The puzzles had a nice flow throughout the game.
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
Some props need a restoration.
A better cluing system could be implemented where GM could become a character in the story instead. This will help maintain the immersion.
The clue for one of the puzzles was confusing as the answer had more parts than the clues given.
🏹 TAKE A SHOT?
This room was a collaboration project between the GM and the owner. We really enjoy rooms like this as you will be able to feel the creativity from different mindsets. It also makes the GM able to give better hints since they designed the game. This room was also the most "complete" room in terms of connecting a storyline to the theme. Although the ciphers used in this room are fairly common to enthusiasts, beginners might find this room challenging. So play this room last and use the other rooms in this location as warm-ups. One suggestion we have for this room is that it could use a bit more jump scare or at least voice/sound to have the players feel like a killer is watching somewhere...With that said, we can't wait to see what part II would be like!
