📖 THE STORY

In the late 19th century, the sinister minister of Crickley Church killed his entire congregation. After they confessed their sins to him, his fractured mind believed that they committed the 7 Deadly Sins. During communion, he distributed poisoned bread and wine to punish them. He then buried himself in one of the crypts hell bent on haunting Crickley Church forever...

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • I like the fact that we had to figure out our way in first utilizing what we have from the outside. As we entered into the premise, it felt like we are getting closer and closer to what we are looking for as the scenery of the set design changes.

  • There was a special effect moment during the game that caught our attention. We did enjoy putting the "spirits" to rest.

  • The ceiling height really made a difference especially in one of the rooms as it made us feel like we're actually in a church.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • From the theme and storyline, the room should be a bit spookier than what it is. Perhaps some lighting or sound effects could help with this.

  • Some puzzles in here really needed some out of the box thinking and didn't really have clues to lead us to associate the items together.

  • We got a little too much assistance from the game master which actually hindered our game play since we didn't really have time to think. You might want to ask for clues to be given to you only when you ask for them.

  • There was one decryption puzzle at the end that required something that could be interpreted in two ways from the riddle. We were confused by the wording.

  • Some puzzles didn't feel like they were related to the storyline and were just merely added in for puzzle sake.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

The name of the game made us think the focus was going to be on 7 Deadly Sins but it was more on the haunting and figuring out how to get rid of the curse. The puzzles had potential but were confusing to us as some could be interpreted in more than one way. We felt like we were definitely not thinking in line with the creator's mind that day as this room took a lot more hints than we would usually ask for. I would suggest not wasting any time if you're stuck on a puzzle as there's actually quite a good mount of work that will require spending time on. If you are good at solving mysteries then check out "Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express" which is murder mystery themed escape room at this location (of course they have 5 other rooms as well). If you have difficulty at making your selection, check out our sneak peek video above to find what suits your liking!
