📖 THE STORY

Centuries back, Edward Mulberry constructed Mulberry Manor for his family. In 1871, Edward and his children were viciously killed there. Since that time, anyone who enters has faced the same grim end. As the sole surviving Mulberry heir, you inherit the property, fully aware of its sinister past. Despite the foreboding ambiance, you pursue your fortune. Once inside, the terrifying tales turn into your reality. Will you manage to escape or become the manor's next casualty?

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

• The set design was amazing! The moment we stepped into the mansion, we were instantly enveloped by the "haunted" atmosphere. It felt like there was a presence lurking in the shadows, tracking our every move!

• The sound effects and jump scares were expertly aligned with the storyline's atmosphere. At one particular moment, upon opening a door, there was a palpable hesitation to advance into the dimly lit hallway.

• During the game, there might be a need for one brave soul in the group to step up and be the champion. We enjoyed that decision-making moment.

• The game featured a distinctive prop that was unlike anything we had encountered before. Although it may have appeared in a movie, we were impressed by its implementation. It was fascinating to observe the prop's "reaction" to our actions within the room.

• The balance between providing some backstory through character narrative and not overdoing it was excellent. The game flow was really smooth in terms of puzzle design as well.

  
  

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

• One of the props didn't clearly reveal the answer, making it very challenging to see what was lighting up in the dark. We eventually had to brute force that puzzle. Perhaps that equipment could be adjusted, as it is a cool item and very fitting for this game.

• The ending seemed a bit abrupt. Although we completed the ritual, we thought it would be interesting to hear an explanation from the voice of a spirit in the house. This way, we would know the ritual was complete, and we wouldn't have been surprised when the game master entered.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

This game is likely my favorite among Escapology's creations. The exceptional set design, realistic environments, detailed decor, props, and sound effects crafted an immersive game setting. The captivating storyline is rich with twists, perfectly blending puzzle-solving with thrill. The inventive props and challenging puzzles demand teamwork and creative thinking, promoting camaraderie. We left feeling exhilarated and are eagerly looking forward to Escapology's future projects!
