I've heard some great things about Fireproof Games based on their VR game - "Omega Agent" and "The Room VR - Dark Matter"! Before playing those two, I wanted to start from the very beginning with "The Room (Pocket Version)" and "The Room" to compare the difference and analyze the progression. I just finished and they are both incredible!
To be fair, "The Room" games prior to "Old Sins" and "Dark Matter" are more puzzle heavy and less story driven. So if you're looking to crack open a mysterious object
with a bunch of hidden puzzle challenges, these are the games for you! This is probably what it feels like to be Chris Ramsay on an iPhone... The picture quality and sound effects is astonishing and the puzzle challenges are cleverly constructed! Playing the "The Room (Pocket Version)" definitely wets the appetite and leaves you wanting more, enough to purchase the next level - "The Room" for $0.99!
In regards to "The Room - Old Sins" and "The Room VR - Dark Matter", those are more story-driven and what most escape room enthusiasts are used to. I haven't had the pleasure of playing either one of them yet, but I've seen some of the gameplay on YouTube and it looks amazing! The VR game alone can definitely make up for not being able to get your escape room fix. Bottom line, Fireproof Games packs a punch with their visual & sound quality as well as their puzzle design creativity!
