"Fantasy Escape" was previously a mobile escape game. It was recently converted by Fuzzy Logic Escape Room to a live stream escape puzzle game. We had the privilege to beta test it and below are some of our thoughts on the game.
You'll have an avatar with you throughout the game just like a remote escape room. The only difference is that all the puzzles will be placed on a table and there's no actual set design. There is still a story line (Fuzzy Logic will be implementing some video component to it soon) and it is to help the villagers to open a relic treasure chest.
Even though there was no set design, we were still able to feel the story line through the way the puzzles were created. I know it's hard to imagine that since they are stationed on a table, but you'll see during the game that it's quite an interesting setup. The puzzles were all Gen 1, (maybe except for one little surprise that we didn't even detect during the game) but they were a lot of fun. We are big fans of Fuzzy Logic's puzzles because they always manage to accomplish an important rule: it all make sense! Since there was not much searching that we had to do, the entire game was build on puzzles after puzzles. We got out with 4 minute and 9 seconds left on the clock with just the two of us. If you love puzzles and don't really care about the immersive aspect of an escape room (and have an odd fetish for opening lots of locks), then this is the room for you!
*** We regret to inform this game is no longer available for purchasing but check out other in-person escape rooms on their website***
Disclosure: We thank Fuzzy Logic Escape Room for comping our tickets for this game. Although a complimentary experience was generously provided, it does not impact our opinion on the review whatsoever.
