📖 THE STORY
Stories surrounding the last known whereabouts of the Knights Templar have led you to this very ancient and abandoned castle. Once inside you hope to find artifacts and remnants of their time there, but you have been warned. Locals believe that something or someone still roams the castle by night.

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
Despite not using any actual stone in the creation of this ruin, the materials used do achieve the desired effect nicely. Like with most Game Over games there is little in the way of props; all included decorative items will have some function in the game’s puzzles at some point. Those items in Medieval Castle were relatively authentic in appearance and function, which did help provide some level of immersion.
Like in all Game Over rooms there is an automated Hint system which tracks your progression through the linear game. You can ask it for two predetermined clues before it goes to the Game Master for ‘emergency’ help!
The puzzles in Medieval Castle are some of the most interactive I have seen from Game Over, as there is less emphasis on finding objects and placing them in key spots and more emphasis on solving puzzles and engaging in dynamic tasks.
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
Although the room is thematically designed, there isn’t as much attention to fulfilling the story as we would have liked. The room doesn’t bring the plot into play through the puzzles or decoration, so we left feeling a little confused as to what we achieved. That said, it was still a rewarding experience.
🏹 TAKE A SHOT?
Like with "Pirates of the Caribbean" and the "Chocolate Factory", "Phantazma" is going to be a room better suited to less experienced teams, although I wouldn’t necessarily say young families, as there isn’t much inside to occupy children.
