🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • The bar ambience along with the lighting and the "Vegas" and casino table set up went along with the storyline.

  • Certain props could be a lot of fun (if they were utilized in puzzles).

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • There's too much decor in the room that were movable which could be seen as red herrings.

  • Some "search and find" aspects of the room didn't really have much cluing so it was literally search anywhere and everywhere.

  • Certain part of the room felt unfinished from a construction standpoint.

  • Some puzzles were really logic leaps for us. We wouldn't have worked it out if it wasn't for the hint

  • There were no "wow" moments in the room. You already know where the next door and that could be easily hidden with something to make it more surprising.

  • The final hint was confusing as we were not sure if we've solved the room or not. It felt like there's a lingering puzzle as we haven't open one of the objects but apparently that's not supposed to be opened. There should be clear indication to a player if certain items are never supposed to be opened prior to the start of the game.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

Full disclosure: we played this room as pretty much the first group so it was still in beta testing stage. The day we went, the camera and walkie talkie was also malfunctioning so we had to wait quite awhile for answers to our hints in the room. I'm sure this has been fixed by now.

The owners of Great Escape SC are enthusiasts themselves. They took over this business not long ago. The customer service is great as they are super friendly. Currently this room is a gen 1 room that has potential to become a really fun experience if some tech were added in. The puzzles also need some assistance as we were not able to follow along with the thought process of the creators. We did give a lot of notes to the owners after our game play so hopefully they've implemented some of them. Looking forward to what they do with the place in the near future!
