📖 THE STORY
Nestled on the edge of town, the historic asylum shelters the afflicted with diverse conditions. Lately though, an unsettling mystery unfolds: patients have been vanishing without a trace. To redeem its name, the asylum has begun launching tours this month. Will you dare to unveil the truth behind the vanishing patients?
🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
The ambiance of this room makes you feel like you're in a psychiatric hospital... are you admitted, or are you visiting? You start out the room by being tied up in a strait jacket, and this extra flair really captured me in the theme. Some of the puzzles must be done cooperatively, but not the entirety and I appreciate the variety. It offers a good challenge for teams, even if you have a lot of escape room experience.
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
There's a video to start you off in the room. It was great for adding to the ambiance and the theme but was very difficult (for me it felt impossible) to understand, so I wasn't clear on the story. This wasn't necessary for our eventual escape, but I would have liked to enjoy the experience of the story too.
🏹 TAKE A SHOT?
You should play this! I'm a scaredy cat and don't like too much creep; I especially hate jump scares. Thankfully I didn't suffer in this room. I wouldn't suggest it for kids, but any adult that enjoys a creepier themed room and a good challenge should definitely check out Visiting Hour at GTFO Escape Entertainment!
