📖 THE STORY

An evil villain has emerged, creating chaos and laying waste to the city of Cape Town! Our superheroes have fallen in attempt to defend the civilians and save the city. You and your friends have been recruited by the MARBLE agency to end this reign of terror by using the remaining powers available! Whatever it takes...

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

• We were immediately captivated by the neon "MARBLE" sign above the high-tech electronic doors! It was the perfect way to make an entrance into this superhero sci-fi game. Inside the MARBLE agency headquarters, there are computer screens and weapons mounted on the wall. We were then debriefed with a video about our mission. The entire experience kept us engaged from beginning to end and we never once lost the immersion.

• The set design was truly remarkable and had so many Marvel easter eggs throughout the game. There was a lot of tech incorporated into "MARBLE" and it's exactly the type of experience you would imagine inside a superhero-themed game!

• "MARBLE" isn't your typical "use your powers to save the day" mission. To defeat the evil villain, you and your team must use your own skills that you possess. In the beginning of the game, you are given a tablet and a briefcase containing 5 special powers (x-ray vision, telekinesis, etc.). Should you need help or a hint along the way, you can use one of the special powers by placing in the slot provided in the room.

• There were so many unique puzzles that we got to solve using our mental and physical strengths... nothing felt repetitive.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

• "MARBLE" is a relatively new game and we played it in it's early stages. The upgrades that the owner wanted to add are the same suggestions that we would've made in order to enhance the experience:

  • At the time when we played, there wasn't any notifications (light or sound) that something had opened or unlocked.

  • Another adjustment that the owner wanted to make was a minor change to the storyline.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

As a Marvel fanatic, "MARBLE" is definitely going to be a memorable experience for me! There was so many references and easter eggs throughout the game that I would play it over just to see what I missed. From the very beginning, the game flow was seamless and the challenges were well-integrated into the storyline.

• They are located in the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Plenty of shops, food, and cafes in the area.

• In addition to escape rooms, they also have:

  • "Amazing Race", a scavenger hunt where teams go head-to-head completing tasks and challenges in the area.

  • "Mobile Escape Games" and "Outdoor Escape Games" using AR & GPS technology.

  • "Online Escape Games" solving mysteries from the comfort of your own home.

• There is a lobby area with seating available.

• They are located on the 2nd floor. Elevator available.

• Toilets are available.

• Merchandise available for purchase.

• There is a bus stop right in front of the entrance. Uber is also available.
