Join Sherlock Holmes and Watson as they match wits with Irene Adler in the classic story “A Scandal in Bohemia”. Even more though, analyze the evidence and make your own theories as you follow along with the audio play.

Opening up the stamped box, we found a lot of goodies including 5 evidence envelopes, homemade tea leaves and a candle, a welcome letter, a notebook, a pin and much more.

Reading the “Welcome” letter in the box, we were given directions on how to set the game up. First, we had to access the audio play, which we could do through the website or a QR code. From there, we got comfortable and got to listen to the play. Throughout the play, as Sherlock Holmes discovered evidence, we also got to discover the evidence as well through the envelopes.

First off, the audio play was amazing. It was professionally done with fantastic voice actors. We also loved the experience of seeing the evidence that Sherlock Holmes saw, which felt and looked like they were taken right from the story. This also added to the immersion as it felt like we were with Sherlock and Watson through the full mystery.

LAS had so many extras included as well. There were some recipes for some cocktails and mocktails, a guide on how to play with children, a guide to reading cursive as well as we could download the audio play to take on the go and the script could be downloaded to follow along easier.

There were not any puzzles per say and even the website says that this isn’t an escape room style game with a lot of small puzzles. This game gave us information and evidence at the same time as the characters in the story, which at the end, we had to examine everything together and see if we could come to the same conclusion as Sherlock Holmes.

One thing we loved was that the story was similar to the original but was rewritten to include a new mystery for us to solve as well. The new mystery blended in so seamlessly that it all fit together beautifully.

For a Sherlock Holmes story that we are already familiar with, this was a whole new way to experience the mystery. This box blew us away with all the high-grade evidence, the polished audio play and fun bonuses. The story, though similar to the original, was fantastically adapted to the audio play with a new twist to it. Any Sherlock Holmes fan, radio play listeners, or anyone looking for a fun alternative to a murder mystery party, absolutely needs to check this out. With the game afoot, can you solve the mystery alongside Sherlock and Watson?
