📖 THE STORY
Many ancient wonders have been unearthed in Kato Paphos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the archaeological site of the Tombs of the Kings is located. There have been strange occurrences lately at the Tombs of the Kings: Site X. Our team of archaeologists has been called in to research and report back anything we can find in the sacred tomb...

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
We love it when an escape room is themed after or around a local legend or history. This room is inspired by the archaeological site of the Tombs of the Kings which is located in town. It gives us a chance to learn some history while playing the game.
When we entered the room, we didn't know what to expect. There was this enormous rock formation and this huge wooden shipping crate. We thought that this was our game and everything that we needed to solve was right in front of us, we were pleasantly deceived. There were a lot of twists and turns which we didn't expect from just looking around the room.
The puzzles were not too difficult but a lot of fun to solve especially when "adventure" type of actions were involved.
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
One of the devices that we had to find information on felt like there were too many "options" that we had to look through. Perhaps clearing some of the history on it would help identify what we were actually looking for.
One of the props in the later part of the game didn't quite fit into the theme. Perhaps a more custom-made prop for that era or something an archeological team would use as a tool could be more fitting.
🏹 TAKE A SHOT?
This is yet another fun experience for families and young explorers. The discoveries made on this journey will definitely surprise them especially if they haven't played many escape rooms before. We were surprised by their set design given that props are super difficult to get on an island country. It really shows that they are enthusiasts themselves and really care about the experience they present to the players. You can be easily hooked after playing one game. Good news is they have two other games at this location: "Wizard School" and "Space Station".
Lockdown Paphos also has a newer location with easier and more kid's friendly games at Leonardo Laura Beach Hotel and Splash Resort in Chloraka, Cyprus. They currently have (2) games available there - "The Super Lab" and "Smuggler's Bay".
