This is our third stop in Bergen, Norway. This location was a bit further out from the city center and we really appreciate the owner picking us up so that we can fit this into our schedule. With that said, this location has plenty of parking. It is located in an old warehouse area which is quite fitting for the theme of the two rooms that they offer. The lobby area is quite spacious, and they even have their own workshop located on the premise. I’m sure they will produce a lot more intriguing games in the future as they definitely have the space.

The games that they are currently offering at the location are “The Cubbyhole” and “Contagion”. We were “lucky” enough to become the victims of the “The Cubbyhole” room. Since the room is quite spacious, we definitely recommend that you book with a group of friends as it was a bit challenging for just the two of us. To start the game, we were told to close our eyes and hold on to the person's shoulders in front of you as they lead you somewhere into a basement. As we opened our eyes, we found ourselves locked up in a cell. The eeriness of the semi-dark room gave me some goosebumps and immediately made me feel like a victim of some psycho killer. All I can think about at the time was I better hurry before time runs out and he comes in from somewhere! For those of you that know me, I’m a scaredy-cat (I must be prepared for all situations). Luckily, this room doesn’t have a live actor, so I was basically just scaring myself. The music was quite fitting and set the tone for the room. While some of the puzzle pieces were a bit “dangerous” in terms of sharpness, it definitely added authenticity to the props. We are sure the owner has made some adjustment by now. We liked some of the unique puzzle designs in there that we’ve never seen before. Some challenges would test you on what can be utilized if you were actually in that situation. It was a bummer that we couldn't play the full hour since we were late for returning back to our cruise ship. But based on the explanation of the game from the owner, we felt that we could've completed it in time if we had the hour.

This game is meant for a bigger group as there are a good number of puzzles to be solved and of course for some extra courage, you can “cuddle” together in the “cubbyhole”!   Also, the owner that we interviewed is part of the Norwegian music group - "Stevie Starfish".

Disclosure: We thank Bergen Escaperoom for comping our tickets for this game. Although complimentary admission was generously provided, it does not impact our opinion on the review whatsoever.
