📖 THE STORY
You are an acclaimed detective. One day, a client visits you and presents you with a mysterious letter from his wealthy ancestor who lived in Asakusa. The letter may be a map of a treasure that his ancestor left! Can you assist your client in uncovering the treasure?
🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
I enjoyed sightseeing in many places in Asakusa while solving fun puzzles. Some places I visited were popular sightseeing spots, but some I did not know. I loved discovering new things to see in Asakusa.
The game had a good number of puzzles. The types of puzzles were mainly paper-based puzzles using the kit and the information I searched at the designated spots on the map. The game's difficulty was just right to enjoy sightseeing and solving puzzles. Although the game was in English, these puzzles were the ones often seen in Japanese escape game scenes. If you want to experience the puzzles in Japanese games, this game is perfect.
It was convenient to carry the game kit, which only came with a few materials while walking around the city and solving puzzles. I loved the pencil wrapped in a paper of traditional Japanese design. It was a cute souvenir.
Hints were available on their website. Although the game required internet access to receive a hint or to enter answers on their website a few times, I liked that no app was needed to play the game.
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
I could solve all the puzzles with the paper given and the information that I found while exploring Asakusa. If you do not like puzzles, such as word puzzles and ciphers, this game may not be for you.
It might be nicer if I could access further materials to read about some places or their history as an option.
