An old irish legend, "The Dullahan", is terrorizing the inhabitants of a nearby village and everyone has now left their homes in fear of this terrifying creature. Can you find the victims and discover why the Dullahan is out for this town? This Dullahan creature is a night rider, the original headless horseman who comes in the night to obtain souls for its collection. With no head of its own and a whip made of a human spine, it is quite understandable why the town left their village. Let’s hope your team doesn’t meet the same fate.

The game is played in Telescape and is set up in a fairly rudimentary manner. All players can click on and explore each location at their leisure but if one player returns to the map, all players return to the map. This might cause some annoyances while navigating the game. The highlight though, is that the team will explore all of the locations while solving each puzzle. Each location is well-photographed in 360 degrees that truly shows the beauty of a small village in Ireland. Not only is the location quite beautiful, the introduction video and other small “cut-scenes” during the game look very well done and add to the ambience of the game. "The Dullahan" had a wonderfully horrific introduction that added to the dire situation that you and the townspeople are in while properly explaining traditional Irish folklore.

The puzzles in "The Dullahan" had some very inventive solves and others that required a large amount of teamwork. The puzzles were integrated into the scenery and most of the time they didn’t distract from the overall picture. One puzzle in particular, in the schoolhouse, was a very unique solve and our team had a wonderful time relearning the “method” to complete it. The final puzzle was the most difficult but when it was finally achieved a breath of relief washed over us.

"The Dullahan" is a wonderful example of what a “mom and pop” escape room can cook up. There is a wide variety of puzzles which are all fun to solve in their own unique way. This would be geared for more of the beginner puzzling enthusiast, but that is not to say hardened enthusiasts won’t enjoy the mysteries set upon them. The 360° views of Ireland were very well-photographed and I loved looking around and taking in the scenery. All in all, it is a wonderful game filled with fun puzzles and anyone who is looking for an evening activity should give this game a try.
