In the days leading up to Christmas, we discover that someone has stolen Santa's "Naughty or Nice" list! We are provided with a map and the opportunity to chat with four elves who were in and about Santa's workshop on the night the list was stolen. Can we figure out who was the culprit and why?

This is a deduction-based immersive theater experience via video conference. There is an initial introduction from the host, some pre-recorded videos, and then interactions with the four elf suspects. At times, the whole group is together, but other times, you will be divided into breakout rooms to interrogate each elf individually to eke out key information (and also discuss your theories with the others in your group). Interacting with live performers in the breakouts means anything can happen, and this team is good at improvising off of whatever material they're given, while also making sure to drop bread crumbs of information for us to follow. At the end, you all vote as to who you think did it, and the full story is revealed!

There weren't really any puzzles per se; however, by using your listening, interrogating, and deducting skills, you will be put to the test to build a timeline for the evening, identify the guilty party, and understand their motive. It's an experience to be watched, first and foremost, so die-hards looking to push the limits of their puzzling prowess won't find themselves challenged. With only four suspects, there aren't too many variables to eliminate, and there aren't the kind of hidden observational tidbits that seasoned puzzlers are accustomed to hunting for.

The highlight of this show is the performers! As with any live show, it succeeds or fails based on the strengths of its performers, and the Play Dead Ensemble does not disappoint! The elves have an eclectic mix of personalities and duties, and Detective Sleigh Bells is the glue holding the pieces together. So long as you’re not expecting a puzzle-heavy experience, this is a light-hearted holiday romp. It is very much a fun-for-the-family type of show, sprinkled with puns and the occasional PG-bawdy joke.

Why go to the movies when you can invite the silly cast of Play Dead London into your home, interact with a charismatic set of Elves, and save Christmas - all from the comfort of your living room?! So pour yourself some hot chocolate, grab a candy cane, put on your ugly sweater, and enjoy the show.
