📖 THE STORY
In the previous chapter (Jungle 1), Dr. X unearthed a mysterious artifact and opened up an alternate dimension. Unfortunately, the dimension disappeared along with his trusted assistant. Now the Jungle Dimension has reemerged! Will Dr. X find out the truth about his assistant this time?
🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
The puzzles in this room are completely built in-house by Puzzle Theory. We were impressed by the smoothness of the tech and props used throughout the game. I remember there were a few delays and glitches from version 1 that are no longer present in this game.
The focus of the game is obviously on the game box in the center of the room. The creator had a great vision of how to use the ambiance lighting to emphasize what the players should be focused on as the game progressed.
This game will allow the GM to adjust the difficulty of the room based on the group's progression. Some puzzles can be made simpler for less experienced groups and vice versa.
We thought that some puzzles could have loopholes where the answers could be guessed correctly by a player and therefore the game sequence could be messed up but the owner showed us afterward how these situations can be prevented by his smart tech in the backend. We were impressed with this system.
There's a lot to do in this game and we were glad there's a progression tracker in the center of the game box. This allowed us to manage our time better.
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
One of the beginning puzzles could be clued better with a "story" versus just given to the players.
We felt that one of the puzzle sequences could be too long (this could be challenging, especially with a group with too many people).
🏹 TAKE A SHOT?
You might realize a few familiar props from this room from Jungle Dimension one but all the puzzles are completely different. The beginning and ending of the room also had a little Easter Egg surprise for players who have played their first version. This room had a good mixture of easy puzzles for beginners to figure out and physical puzzles that could take a bit of time even for seasoned players. The lighting, animal sounds, and even your "assistant" during the game will all work seamlessly together to provide you the jungle adventure of your life time. Ready to embark on this journey?
