You are taking a risk by going into the magician's house. But if you can steal the immortality potion then all risk is worth it. You must be quick or else he might return and turn you into a frog! Or maybe even something even worse!

We met our wonderful GM that we had for the previous three Lost Escape games (The End?, The Curse of the Pharaoh, and The Steampunk Adventure) over Zoom. She's definitely getting very smooth at operating remote escape games. It was great to see that she's also improved on automating our searches and understanding our style of play. There's no virtual inventory with this game but we did receive links with our game confirmation that gave us 360 views of the room. For this game most of the items were visible on camera so we didn't feel that an inventory system was necessary.
The set design has always been one thing that Lost Escape is able to impress me every time and this time we were transported to what seems like a scene in Harry Potter.

I need to make a full disclosure first that I kind of already played this game because I've played "Wizard" by Exit the Room. Both of the companies bought this game from a vendor so a lot of the puzzles were similar but Lost Escape added some more puzzles and their own flavor to the game. One puzzle that we thought was difficult for us to explain over the internet was done better at Lost Escape. In this game, there was an audio puzzle that we found difficult to do as we couldn't really hear the sounds over Zoom. We had to rely on our GM and some guidance to solve that puzzle. There were two puzzles that we solved that used "trial and error" method. This could be a bit frustrating to do over Zoom since we have to just watch our GM repeat the actions until the right pieces are in place. Some of the puzzles would be a lot more fun to play in person as they are more physical than logical.

This is a really fun room if you are a fan of Harry Potter or wizard themed games. Some puzzles were not able to translate 100% as a remote game but when will you have a chance to play this unless you actually go to Lithuania? Now that we've played all of the remote escape rooms at Lost Escape, I feel a little lost...Hopefully they will translate their other 3 escape games to online but I think I would want to save one to play there in person one day because I've recently discovered that Lithuania is such a beautiful country!

This room was visually striking and enchanting, and beautifully decorated and accessorized. It gave the whole game a magical feeling and it felt like it would be a real joy to be in the real room. Having an avatar to work for you is great but some of the puzzles in this one relied on sound, or trial and error, and that was a little harder to do over zoom. But we had a telescape 360 view of the first room which helped, but it only showed the main room and none of the accessory items.
That said, the puzzles were a lovely mix of physical interactions and codes, collecting items to use etc, and there are some really neat touches in the room that make it appear that things happen actually by magic, which is so charming.
I love the fact that we can interact with rooms in places we may never get to visit, but the urge to actually go run around this room and interact with the beautiful fixtures and objects was so strong on this one!
(If you do decide to try this game, give us a shoutout or tag us on social media so we know you heard it from "ESCAPETHEROOMers"!)
