🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
The entrance to this game was on another “level”. I don’t want to give away any spoilers because I want you guys to experience it yourselves. But if you get lucky, ask the GM if they're able to show you where this game is situated after you’ve completed the game for a cool reveal.
I loved all the puzzles in this room (even though there were a couple that caused extensive sweating towards the end). The creator used some refreshing props and puzzle designs that we haven’t seen in a lot of escape rooms. For instance, I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed solving their Nonogram.
It’s hard to believe a minute ago we were just standing in a warehouse and a few minutes later, no one could convince me otherwise that we were hundreds of feet down inside of a cave. The set design, ambient lighting, special effects, and sound design all perfectly contributed to this amazing experience.
The way “in” to the deeper part of the mine was also quite enjoyable.
We had a pretty heart-throbbing escape since we had only a couple of minutes left on the clock. Towards the end, we got a chance to experience a sense of urgency during our evacuation resulting in a "wow" ending!
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
There was one puzzle that felt quite long to solve as it had multiple options, and it was also a little difficult to visualize due to dim lighting and similar dark colors.
The final puzzle could have been simplified a bit if the creator wanted more people to be able to escape as that was probably the hardest visualization puzzles that we've ever done.
🏹 TAKE A SHOT?
This was one of our top-rated games for our Canada Tour. It’s well-crafted from all perspectives. We loved the ingenuity of the puzzles and were truly impressed by the quality of the set design. The props used in the room all had a purpose and fit perfectly well into the theme. Based on the difficulty level of two of the puzzles in this room, I would say enthusiasts probably have a better chance at completing the game. But if you feel like you want a challenge, then this is your mission! Regardless, if you are in the Ottawa area, we highly recommend taking a trip down to discover the secrets inside the mine.
