You've got another case on your hands and this time there might even be some paranormal activities! Mr. Ferri, a rich man with an intense love for animals has suddenly passed away. People think that he was killed by his own lion! His family thinks there's more to the story and has gone as far as trying to talk to his spirit through an ouija board. Do you think a ghost can really help you uncover the truth behind Mr. Ferri's death?

We slowly opened the gate to Mr. Ferri's mansion and entered into Scarlet Envelope's story world. In this chapter, you'll receive a crime scene investigation report, letter from Mrs. Ferri and their housekeeper, 4 photos of various places in the mansion, a condolence card, and a printout of an ouija board.
This game started off a bit differently from the other Scarlet Envelope's games. Once you read through Mrs. Ferri's hiring letter, you'll be instructed what to do next. Make sure to remember all the clues you've received (digital and paper) as you'll need everything in order to connect the dots later.

The puzzles fit nicely with the storyline. We really enjoyed that each puzzle was designed for a special character. They were initially all independent from each other but were pieced together for a final reveal. The evidence provided through text and images made us feel like real detectives (even the smallest details should not be dismissed). The added "surprise" reveal was also unexpected as we're wondering how a certain item was going to be utilized in this game.

The story behind this game had a little Harry Potter vibe. It's staged in an old mansion that's filled with mystery. The animals also felt like peculiar beasts. Since the different characters were portrayed as different households, it felt like Dumbledore left a mystery for his students to solve. We thoroughly enjoyed this concept and had a great time solving Mr. Ferri's mystery. Although I was secretly hoping for a "happily ever after ending", the one provided was more realistic. What gate will Scarlet Envelope have us open next?
