There has been a "murder" on board "The Ornament Express". A snowman, Flakey, was found melted in a sleeping car! Who was the culprit and what was the motive? It's up to you to save Christmas!

The small red envelope contained a booklet of evidence, a series of train car postcards, and a facts sheet of the case. It is great for travel as we bought it on a cruise and the game was very easy to set up on a table.

We suggest reading the booklet first to discover initial clues and what the ultimate goals are. If you get stuck, there's a website that will provide you with step-by-step hints on the puzzle/question. If you still don't get it after the nudging hints, solutions will be provided as well. Once you have the answers to the questions asked, use the same website to check to see if they are correct.

A cool aspect of this game is that you can play it as a stationary game or set it up like a "search and find" and hide the clues around your house. You can also regift this game as there are no components of this game that would need to be destroyed.

Although it seems like there's not much that you can explore at first glance, once you start to really investigate, you'll discover many details that will eventually connect all the puzzle pieces together. The puzzles in this game are not to be expected like escape room ones that involve calculation or logic. It's more about detecting visual clues that eventually give you the answers to the big three: "Who, What and Why". Although there is a deduction puzzle that's probably the most difficult part of this game.

If you enjoy "whodunit" type of storyline with a little whimsical twist of some holiday spirit, then this is the game for you. It is also a game that can be enjoyed in a short amount of time versus an 8-hour type of mystery. Put your detective hat on and discover the secrets aboard "The Ornament Express"!

Please note: The game does mention "murder" in the title, but, aside from the title, the details of the case are presented in a lighthearted all-ages style. Contact the company if you have any questions or concerns about the game.
