📖 THE STORY

Today isn't your lucky day... You’ve been captured by Edward Tandy, a cannibalistic serial killer! To escape, you’ll have to play all the sadistic games he has prepared for you in his deceased mother’s home. May luck be on your side…

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

• The prep work and debriefing at the beginning were great. It undoubtedly enhanced the anticipation level of the players.

• This set design really captured what a psycho killer's den should look like. I was especially amazed by the sound effects that alerted the players of the "existence" of the killer without an actual reveal.

• The actor was great at his part and knew exactly when to nudge us in the right direction.

• The game flow was great. Other than a few instances where we were unable to find something, all the puzzles made sense and went along with the theme.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

• The beginning felt like a puzzle was missing and perhaps one could be added for us to get "in".

• Some of the solutions felt too obvious. They were just written in plain sight so we were unsure whether to just try it or not. We did however change our mindset to once again to being characters in this immersive experience rather than puzzle solvers. But it would be nice if they were at least more hidden, maybe in a box that we had to solve a puzzle so at least we know they are important enough to try on a lock.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

We enjoyed this game more than the "THE STUDY" probably because it had more puzzles and more space to roam around. There were also more chances to interact with the actor. The set design for this room also hit the spot for us and I'm sure a lot of horror fans would feel the same. Moreover, the live actor in this game interacted with us a lot more and gave us subtle nudges that were perfect to push us along at a good pace. If you have a larger team and more experienced players, this room would be better suited for you. I can't wait to be "captured" again at their CA location and hopefully to be able to successfully escape the two different experiences there as well!
