It's a really important press conference day for the 49ers. Just before the conference, they noticed that all their precious trophies have gone missing. The entire team is counting on you to solve this mystery (especially the legendary Jerry Rice)! Don't let them down!

This game was designed on the same interface as the previous TEG Unlocked series that we've played. Since each purchase is good for a single login, it's best to host this game over Zoom (if you want to play with a team). Each player will need to create an account so that if they couldn't finish the game, the progress will be saved. Playing on Zoom allowed us to keep each player updated in terms of which puzzle was solved and what code was used so we could progress at the same time.

Your team will analyzing the clues on the digital platform to solve puzzles. Every time when a right answer was submitted, a new set of clues would reveal themselves. The interface was quite easy to use.

Since this game was designed with 49ers fans in mind, a lot of puzzles revolved around players names, jerseys, stadium set ups, trophies, lockers etc...As a theme it felt a bit less exciting for non football fans. Once we unlocked the first part of the story, we're given a few puzzles where we could divide and conquer. It's best to explain all the puzzles to your team before entering the solution so everyone could be on the same page. A few of the puzzles were really easy and then there was one deduction puzzle that was quite tough. Not knowing some terminologies of football definitely confused us. We were unsure of offense versus defense players and the wording was quite confusing. I'm sure with prior knowledge for football this could become a much easier puzzle but we definitely struggled on it for awhile. Good thing there is a hint system along with solutions build into the interface.

I would probably recommend this game mainly for fans of football, especially 49ers fans, This is a great way to test your knowledge about football and be able to relive some of the incredible historical moments of the team. You might also notice a few artifact pieces from the official 49ers Museum. Most importantly, you might get to "meet" the legendary Jerry Rice himself. This is your chance to show them what true fandom is all about!

I was really nervous as it was my first time playing the game. I did enjoy the game and it was fun but it was a little difficult to work out the puzzle about football. I also think we also work good as a team to be able to do the game. I would recommend people giving this room a try and it was still lots of fun. I would do another escape the room game again at some point.

I live in England and know very little about American Football, so was a little dubious, but from the off, I thought this was a slick, high-quality experience. It starts with a video so again headphones for players is recommended, or just one player plays it aloud for the rest, but you will all have to go through the video scenes. It's a game where you all play through separately so faster players can rush off and solve everything if you don't agree to work together and wait.

After the introduction, we had a very fancy interface where we could go into various resources (like a files inventory but already stocked with helpful items). Certain areas are locked, so you are led nicely through the game to the right area. Right off the bat though I must say without giving too much away that there is something you have to do that non-US based players might be at a disadvantage for.

There is a very nice mix of puzzles as you progress - some mathematical, some sound-based, codes and maps. We solved most without too much trouble, but one puzzle where you have to seat players around a table according to a set of rules absolutely foxed us. Two things caused an issue. One is the definition of the word "opposite" in the rules versus what we believed "opposite" should mean, and secondly, it does require a good knowledge of what positions in American Football are what. We really did struggle with this puzzle and found we ended up having to take the hints and find the answer in frustration. I was also discovering that every time I reset the puzzle to try again, it was glitching with some of the shirts ending up duplicated, so although the shirt might be in the spot for player 37 it actually had 42's details on it as well as the actual one. I was still able to complete the puzzle but it made it more complicated!

Apart from this puzzle I found it a very enjoyable, interesting and balanced game and was glad that it didn't rely too heavily on football knowledge, and for a fan would probably be a wonderful exploration of the team and its history.

(If you do decide to try this game, please remember to let them know that you heard it from"ESCAPETHEROOMers"!)
