📖 THE STORY

The carnival has just arrived into town with all the excitement of the games and shows. But everyone is here to see the main attraction... the Fortune Teller. However, when you arrive at the carnival, you realize that you cannot leave and the only way to escape is if you can find the Fortune Teller and have her decide your fate.

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • The bulk of the puzzles had a carnival theme which added to the theatrics of the room. All the puzzles were also well clued and we never had any moments of wondering how to arrive at the answer.

  • The overall flow of the room as we went from one to the next was planned out very well and added to the theme and fun of the room.

  • This was an all-tech room which made for a fun experience. This gave us more of an opportunity to experiment and try different fun ideas on puzzles.

  • We did ask for one hint and found the GM clued us really well with a nice push in the right direction and still allowed us to arrive at the solution on our own.

  • There were some sly eureka moments that really made us smile after we got them.

  • Without spoiling it, the ending really made the game as our jaws dropped when we got there.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • The room could have used a little more “carnival” decorations to give it a more immersive experience.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

"The Carnival" was a fun room with logical puzzles and wonderful flow. This room did promote teamwork and discussion as a few puzzles were made easier through communicating with one another and decisions needed to be made as we progressed (you may see the true colors of your friends lol). The ending of the room absolutely made this room and tied everything together. The premise does seem creepy but the room has no jump-scares overall (unless you have a fear of clowns, as there is one clown in there). The room was a little on the easier side which would make for a great room for beginners or experienced people trying to set a record. We played with 4 experienced players, but this could be a fun night out with 6 beginners.
