📖 THE STORY

Two years ago, Vortex journeyed to the fantastical kingdom of Anka, where dragons still roam the land. During their adventure, they became friends with the enchantress Oriana, daughter of King Clodion. Thanks to her magical abilities, she has been able to keep in touch ever since.

Recently, Oriana reached out to Vortex through a portal to ask for our help. The King has become pale and despotic over the past couple of months. He has ordered the execution of many innocent people and is waging a merciless war. Although Vortex typically avoids getting involved in local politics, they suspect that something more sinister is at play.

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • The immersive set design of the basement is exceptional, given its dark and grimy atmosphere, it transports players to another world. The highlight of the game is a remarkable diorama in the initial room that not only adds depth to the storyline but also serves as an interactive puzzle that needs to be solved during the course of the game.

  • The puzzle flow in the game was very enjoyable. It was a nice mix of physical and mental challenges that kept us engaged and entertained throughout the game. One of the things we appreciated was how well all of the puzzles and locks fit with the immersion of the game. It really helped us feel like we were part of the story and added to the overall experience.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • The absence of a dragon in a game with such a theme was a slight letdown for our team, but it did not detract from the overall enjoyment of the game.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

One of the unique aspects of playing this game was that the game master spent an additional 15 minutes before the start of the game to explain the story and the world of the game. While this is not necessary for the gameplay, it was a valuable experience that helped create a bond between our team and the game master. It's not something you see often in other escape rooms and added to the overall enjoyment of the experience.

The hint system in this game was a unique feature that added to the immersive experience. When a team needed a clue, they could summon a goblin guard who had helped them get to the basement. The guard would appear periodically to assist as needed, but the team had to be careful not to reveal their true intentions. Overall, it was a clever and fitting way to incorporate hints into the story world.

"The Dragon's Prophecy" is an exceptional game that offers a seamless puzzle-solving experience with breathtaking scenery. Each section of the game is enjoyable and caters to different play styles, ensuring that everyone in your team will have a great time. If you're looking for a fantastic escape to a fantasy world, take a step into the Kingdom of Anka and give it a shot!
