2020 Player's Choice Award gave recognition to "Game Master of the Year", "Top 3 in-person escape room", "Top 3 remote escape room", "Top 3 table-top games" and "Top 3 online games" from the choices of the players. bullseye awards PLAYER'S CHOICE AWARDS "Player's Choice Awards" is a new category of the Bullseye Award that's been added this year. No Matter how many games we'll play each year, we'll never play it ALL. This category was added in order to hear the voices from the players instead of just us. This is also a great way to obtain a "must play" list for ourselves. This year we've had 4 categories in the Player's Choice Awards: Online Games, Table-Top Games, Remote Escape Rooms and In-Person Escape Rooms. The winners were given Gold, Silver and Bronze titles. Game Master is also an essential part of a game. "Game Master of the Year" was also chosen amongst many finalist. This category was created to allow the players to vote for their favorite games worldwide! This category is totally separate from our internal " Bullseye Award " which is given by our reviewers of the games that they've actually played this year. This year we had 5 categories in the Player's Choice Awards: "Game Master of the Year", "Online Games", "Tabletop Games", "Live-Hosted Games", and "In-Person Escape Rooms". The winners were given Gold, Silver and Bronze titles. Click the "Finalist" button to back track the journey from nomination rounds to the finalist rounds. There were a total of 70 game master nominations and 47 finalists this year. The GM submission videos reviewed around10,000 views on our YouTube channel with close to 3,000 likes and 2,200 comments from the players. Chris Sparks from Surelocked In Escape Games in Maryland took home the Gold with over 500 likes and 300 comments. In the " Online Games " category, 88 games were nominated from 17 different countries. Twenty two games moved on to Round 1 after 600+ casted votes. Ten game moved forward from the Semi-finalist round after 1,400+ votes were casted. After a fierce finalist round with 1600+ votes, Joy Swift's Murder Mystery Investigations' Cold Case #2 - Family Ties took home the Gold with 37 votes. In the " Tabletop Games " category, 100 games were nominated from 14 different countries. Twenty four games moved on to Round 1 after 350+ casted votes. Ten games moved forward from the semi-finalist round after close to 500 votes. The finalist round had over 830+ votes and Puzzle Room Escape Game's "Desafio Puzzle Room" took home the Gold with 427 votes. In the " Live-Hosted Games " category, 63 games were nominated from 15 different countries . Twenty four games moved on to Round 1after 330+ votes were casted. Ten games moved forward from the semi-finalist round after close to 700 votes. After 1500+ votes in the finalist round, Puzzle Room Escape Games's "Score-settling" took home the Gold with 587 votes. In the " In-Person Escape Rooms " category, 521 games were nominated from 14 different countries. Twenty two games moved on to Round 1 after close to 10,000+ votes. Ten games moved forward from the semi-finalist round after 3,200+ votes. After close to 6,000 votes in the finalist round, Escape Hour Gig Harbor's "The Cabin: Final Chapter" took home the Gold with 1,762 votes. 2021 Player's Choice Award gives players the opportunity to vote for their favorite games and game masters of the year! bullseye awards 2021 PLAYER'S CHOICE AWARDS (GAMES OF THE YEAR) We had an amazing turnout for the "Player's Choice Awards" section of our 2020 Bullseye Awards (3,600+ nominations and over 12,300+ votes) that we decided to make this into an annual event. This year, we would love to hear the voices of the players again. Tell us what amazing games are out there! The (4) categories in the "Player's Choice Awards" are "Online Games", "Table-Top Games", "Live-Hosted Games", and "In-Person Escape Rooms". The winners will receive Gold, Silver, and Bronze titles. Here are the dates & rules: The nominated game must be active in 2021. One person can only vote/nominate once per day. You can’t use multiple emails. Email account must be valid (we’ll validate after voting). Any bounced back emails will be eliminated. Dec 1st–10th: Nomination Round – Top 20* of each category will move on to next round. Dec 11th–16th: Round 1 – Top 10* finalist will move on to the next round. Dec 17th–22nd: Round 2 – Top 3 winners will be announced during our annual Bullseye Award ceremony show on Dec 30th at 5PM EST. *If equal in vote counts, we’ll consider that to be a tie and they will both move on to the next round. Bullseye Awards Every year we recognize some of the "best" games we've played throughout the year. "Best" is a relative term and we don't think it needs to be singular or honor just one winner in each category. With a team of 19 reviewers, we've played approximately 1,300+ games in the categories of "In-Person Escape Rooms", "Live-Hosted Games", "Tabletop Games" and "Online Games". Below are essentially our top 9% of the games we like to honor with an award this year.
